During Ireland’s boom years, thousands of people bought horses as a status symbol. But with the economy in crisis, many owners can’t afford to keep them. Animal welfare experts estimate that more than 20,0000 abandoned horses are roaming Ireland and could starve to death this winter.
I will take the dapple gray. And the crazy-eyed brown one, because s/he seems to be Humphrey’s spirit animal.
